I am using Windows XP. Since updating to Firefox 3.6.6 every time a window loads it does not want to complete the load, like it is waiting for something else.

Since updating to Firefox 3.6.6 every time I load a page it doesn't want to complete the loading. The page loads enough to see it but then it just waits and waits without finishing the load.

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

Updated to 3.6.6 last night (6/30/2010) and I'm getting only partial content on Facebook pages or blank pages:

  • some profiles I can see; some only partially; some are blank (such as my OWN!)
  • the menu options on Facebook's "Home" page are missing
  • the Newsfeed ends after only one page (no "See older posts" option at the bottom.)

It's definitely a Firefox issue; Facebook works fine in I.E. (which I can't stand.)

How to revert back to previous version, pleeeeease?

Facebook game issues:

  - Scramble does not show selection buttons
  - Lexolous doesn't load

Haven't seen the other issues mentioned above but will go and see if they are there as well.

IE works on the same pages ...

Firefox used to be cool, but now it's just turning in to one big headache.

Update...after doing yet another update yesterday I am having all kinds of problems with my Firefox. Lastpass has become all but trash and AdBlock Plus has vanished even though it still appears in my add-ons.

At first I had to wonder if it was just my home PC but it has effected my two laptops as well. I think Firefox is on it's last hours on my computers and it is time to move on to a better browser. Good luck folks.

Possible solution. I found a place that has Firefox versions all the way back to Firefox 0.8

Now the issue is, with reverting back to an older version of Firefox there might be security issues but I am hoping with keeping my security up to date and doing regular maintenance I can revert back to the last version before Firefox 3.6.6 which when my troubles began. Firefox 3.6.4 was reliable.
