When opening Firefox, this message appears: getPlusPlus_Adobe_reg.exe - Application Error. The instruction at "0x00000000" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read". This may be a reason why I can't download Adobe Flash Player, and perhaps for some other problems I may not be aware of.

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

== a few days ago. Not sure why.

Yeah, for some reason Adobe wants people install the Adobe extension in order to install the Flash player. If you close Firefox, then start Firefox in Safe Mode, that should open Firefox with extensions disabled? For instructions on starting in Safe Mode, see Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

From there, try updating Flash. See Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems

Get rid of Adobe DLM (Download Manager, aka getPlus). It causes problems for a lot of users and you do NOT NEED IT. Right now it is showing in Tools > Add-ons > Extensions. It is also showing as a plugin, getplusplusadobe16263, in Tools > Add-ons > Plugins. Here's how to get rid of it, hopefully: http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb10-08.html

When you go to an Adobe page that gives you a warning and an "Allow" button just below the tabs, if you click that "Allow" button it will download the Adobe DLM and not the product you were trying to download. Adobe DLM is then supposed to download the product. But it just doesn't work, every time, the way it is supposed to.

When you need to update an Adobe product, post back here for detailed instructions and ask how to do so with getting Adobe DLM.

Right now you are current on Adobe Flash (aka Shockwave Flash) and Adobe Reader (aka Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox). You can check them here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/

Other Issues: ~~red:You have installed plug-ins with known security issues. You should update them immediately.~~
