Why (yet again) does a FF update tell me to update the Shockwave Flash plugin, then send me to an update page in a foreign language (Spanish) that I can't read???

Following every update to FF, I get the prompt to update the Flash Shockwave plugin, and every time I try I'm sent to a Spanish Shockwave site that I can't do anything with.

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

== I updated to 3.6.8 (and ... .7 and ... .6 and (etc.)

Your Shockwave Flash (aka Adobe Flash) is an old version. Follow the directions below to update.

Install/Update Adobe Flash Player for Firefox (aka Shockwave Flash): your ver. 10.~~red:0 r45~~; current ver. 10.1 r53 (important security update 2010-06-10; see: http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb10-14.html) ~~red:Check your version here~~: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ See: Updating Flash -use Firefox to download and SAVE to your hard drive (save to Desktop for easy access) -exit Firefox (File > Exit) -In Windows, check to see that Firefox is completely closed (Ctrl+Alt+Del, choose Task Manager, click Processes tab, if "firefox.exe" is on the list, right-click "firefox.exe" and choose End process, close the Task Manager window) -In Windows, double-click on the Adobe Flash installer you just downloaded to install/update Adobe Flash -when the Flash installation is complete, start Firefox, and test the Flash installation here: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_15507&sliceId=1

Thanks for the extensive help note with links, but it doesn't solve the "foreign" problem.

When I get to the part where you said:

See: Updating Flash -use Firefox to download and SAVE to your hard drive (save to Desktop for easy access)

-- and click on that link, up comes this:

Updating Flash

To check if your installation of Flash is up to date, visit Mozilla's Plugin Check page. If it says that Flash needs to be updated, install the latest version manually. Windows:

  1. Go to the Flash Player download page at Adobe.com and download the Flash installer.
  2. From the menu at the top of the Firefox window...(etc.)

In Step 1, that underlined text is this link:

http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/thankyou/?installer=Flash_Player_10.1_for_Windows_-_Other_Browsers

-- and that's all in Spanish.

Now, maybe that's OK and I can click on the download for "Get Adobe Shockwave Player" (that's in English) -- but then all of the Player prompts, texts, help, etc. are for the Spanish-speaking mkt. and will also be in Spanish -- Si? No?
