I've gone to Tools - Options - Security and cleared out old passwords. I've checked the box that says save passwords. But when I log in (both on Yahoo and on my university email) I do not see the line asking whether I want to save my password for this site. In Yahoo I have checked the box saying keep me checked in. But still no dice.

Hello.

This has been reported by a number of users already, although I have never gotten any confirmation that the solution I'm suggestion works: try reinstalling Firefox. No data will be lost, so don't worry. I believe that will fix this problem (if you've already followed all the correct procedures, as you say). Please do report back the results.

Reinstalling doesn't fix the problem . I posted the same problem in another post on the 13th. Will delete this, still awaiting the solution.

It's pretty annoying.

Cheers.
