Cursor disappears when using FF EpubReader--doesn't reappear with reboot.
I make ebooks for authors/publishers. I have them install FF with the EpubReader addon to proof first "drafts" of the epubs. One author, who has successfully used this method for two books, suddenly has no I-beam cursor whatsoever in the EpubReader frame. The cursor is an arrow when on whitespace on the EPR page; but when placed over text, the cursor disappears. Rebooting the computer has not helped, and it's now happening with all of her epubs in that FF & EpubReader installation. The cursor works fine in every other app.
Client is 1,000 miles from me, but does have a local tech guy who can assist if I can point him in the correct direction.
I really need help with this, there's no other viable way for my clients to proof these epubs.

The EpubReader extensions is a 3rd party addon, not made by Mozilla. You should get support from the developer of that addon. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/45281/
Thank you, I am already in contact with the developer of the EpubReader addon. It's his opinion that it's a FF issue. I see on Bugzilla that there has been an intermittent disappearing-cursor issue with FF, unrelated to any addon, since 2004. Therefore, I'm asking here, as the issue is pressing.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

Thanks for the various ideas; I've provided this url to the guy who works on her computer, to see if this helps; the client has no ability to do these things herself and needs onsite assistance. He tried various things today but was unable to effect any change--the cursor continues to disappear. I'm hopeful he'll call me tomorrow and we can brainstorm some alternatives, because while I'm sure this doesn't sound very important, it's important to our ability to get her next three books done.
Thanks again, cor-el.
