why does my news location always returns to New York, even though I set 34655 and click the "make this my default location" box?

When I go to Yahoo and read the mail, my local news location is always New York,NY. I try to change it to New Port Richey, FL and check the "make this my default location," but it always returns to New York. Of course Yahoo says it's an issue with Firefox...

Web site preferences like that are usually saved in a Cookie, are you clearing your Cookies when Firefox closes? Or do you have a "security" program that cleans them after Firefox closes?

Thanks for your help, I deleted all the cookies, but that didn't help. I think the problem is with Yahoo, because I have the same problem when I open it with Safari.
