This is a follow up to above. This problem has been reported over and over again by a large number of people for more than a year, using different printers and computers. The only common thread is that it only happens on Firefox and not elsewhere. It is obvious that the problem lies with Firefox. Surely the tech wizards on Firefox can figure out the source of this problem. Firefox owes it to us to give us a straight answer and to solve the issue. The large, anonymous forums are frustrating and of no use at all. They may serve as a place for venting but that doesn't get problems fixed. Volunteers are great, and we appreciate their contribution, but they may not be expert enough to solve really persistant issues such as this one.

We need a responsible response from Firefox.

Please, Firefox people, this seems to be a common problem.

So far we have had no response to our problem. Another few days and it will disappear into the mass of forum issues that never ever get an answer. I wonder if anyone out there knows how to actually contact a real person who has some responsibility for responding to Firefox users. If there are others out there who still have this problem (there were many last year) please post your problem, or if you have solved it please let us know how you did it. Firefox needs to help us with this issue.
