When I type a partial address in the address area, I'm redirected to searchalot. How can I stop this?

For some reason on this particular machine, when I type a partial name into the address area, I get redirected to a place called alot.com. They, then try to give me results of what I typed into the address bar as if it was a search on their web site.

Normally, if I type in "bn" in the Firefox address bar on any other machine, it automatically recognizes that this means Barnes and Nobel, and goes to that site.

Check the pref keyword.URL on the about:config page.

Wow! That's the ticket. Thanks so much. I looked up the Keyword.URL in the about:config and sure enough, the path that by default specifies Google, had been changed to go to the alot.com site. I changed it back to the path that was specified in that config file, and everything is finally back to normal. Thanks again for your help!
