how do I get Firefox on my PC when I don't presently have a server?
I had been using Internet Explorer on my (older) Dell PC but yesterday somehting got into it and although my AVG says a computer scan is clean, Interent Explorer won't open (screen says Emergency Mode but won't access anything). How can I get Firefox installed on there now?

You could download the necessary install file on another computer, and transfer it somehow to your current pc using something such as a flash drive. If however you have some serious problem on the computer, and it is unable to use IE it may also be unable to use firefox.
