With Firefox 4.0 (and the 'Tabs On Top' option selected):

In XP the tabs are shown on the line BELOW the upper left FIREFOX button. In Windows7, they are displayed on the SAME line as the FIREFOX button (the very top line of the display) - thus using one less line in the display window.

How do I get XP to display the same as Windows7?

You can maximize the Firefox window to make Firefox draw the tab bar in the Windows title bar.

You can also check the pref browser.tabs.drawInTitlebar on the about:config page.

Thanks, but:

1. OK, it works full screen. but only if the 'Menu Bar' is not displayed. Is there a way to put the 'Menu Bar' somewhere other that the top line of the display?

2. It still does not work in a smaller (not maximized) window.

Did you ever figure out a solution to getting tabs on the top bar in XP?

Thanks!

No, it still only works as I described above. I've been waiting to hear about a fix/workaround from MOZILLA!
