Nvidia is my graphic card driver version 259.36. Before crashing the monitor screen blinked and turned black for a few seconds then recovered, then firefox browser crashed and had to be restored. This is happening frequently, after my upgrading to Firefox4.0. No such problem before.

Thanks for help.

I have the same problem. I just upgraded to Win 7, no problems. Then I upgraded to FF 4.0, and I kept getting Nvidia Video Card crashes. I always undo my last computer change/install when something like this happens, so I immediately uninstalled 4.0, and went back to my older version of Firefox. No problems ever since.

Thanks. But will Firefox provide an update eventually to fix this?

I am having the same problem, and have been considering doing what you did, but am not savvy enough (yet) to know how to back up my: a) bookmarks, and b) saved passwords -- so that when I uninstall Firefox 4, I can then retrieve them when I go back to an older version. I also need to find out how to go back to an older version.

Any helpful comments on these questions/issues would be greatly appreciated.

I think Mozilla Firfox should fix this immediately if they want to promote their new version instead of having their users go back to older versions or change to other browsers.
