I have set up a number of App Tabs, but to date after closing Firefox and then re-opening it on four occasions all of the App Tabs have been missing, and I have had to re-do them all.

An example - Last night I closed Firefox with around 6 App Tabs in place, and then closed my system.

When I first opened Firefox this morning all App tabls were present. But having closed Firefox to maximize system resources (old laptop) I found when again opening Firfox that the App Tabls were no longer there.

System is XP Professional SP3 fully up-to-date with upgrades with 1GB ram.

App tabs and Tab Groups (Panorama) are stored as part of the session data in the file sessionstore.js in the Firefox Profile Folder

Make sure that you do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the "Browsing History" when Firefox is closed because that prevails and prevents Firefox from opening tabs from the previous session.

Thanks for the advice, but I haven't cleared history before this happened.

Do you know if there an option somewhere that may be causing this?

The only one I can see is the Clear Recent History tool itself. Maybe there is a box checked somewher else that will cause history to be deleted every time I close down, but I can't see one, unless it's something to do with Start Private Browsing, which I do not use.
