Using FF 4.0.1 and even tho I have (and have ALWAYShad) "Show my Home Page Only on Startup" selected and NOT "Show Windows & Tabs fr. Last Time" selected, the window(s) and tab(s) from my last session have suddenly (starting yesterday) showing up every time I start up FF. (And I didn't upgrade to 4.0.1 yesterday; did that a couple wks ago. )

If you do not use "Show my windows and tabs from last time" then make sure that Firefox closes properly to prevent session restore from reopening a possibly crashed session.

Thanks, Cor-el. I did happen to figure out that it was indeed Firefox not closing properly when I tried running a spyware scanner today which informed me that I hadn't successfully closed FF. For some reason, starting yesterday, clicking on the X in the upper righthand corner is not always exiting me from FF. So I have to click on the Firefox tab in upper Lefthand corner and choose Exit from there. Don't know why this has started up all of a sudden, but whatever...go figure browsers...

You're welcome.

Using File > Exit usually works better because you close all open windows at once.
