I agree with you, I 'should be' but I'm not.

btw I've tried that solution over and over again with zero results.

Thank you ed the addon does 95% of the job. Now, instead of having to type in my username and password, I only have to type the 1st letter of my username and this prompts the program to dropdown my complete username which I then have to point to and click. The program then fills in my password. I then have to point to and click enter. All this is far superior to filling in all the details. As I say: 95% of the job.

Have a look at Avant Browser. There if you have already saved the username/password info one click gets you to your desired site.

If you have not already saved the info, a couple of clicks does that job as well.

Avant does the password/Autofill thing very well. Why try and reinvent the wheel. Just copy them.

Are you running Firefox in Private Browsing mode?

You enter Private Browsing mode if you select:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"

To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history

  • Deselect: [ ] "Permanent Private Browsing mode"

No I am not running Firefox in Private Browsing mode.
