When I have an app tab selected and I type in a url. Is my app tab url suppose to change or should a new tab open?
I have gmail as an app tab. When that is all that is open and I type a url into the box without opening a new tab. My app tab URL changes and then stays that way until i change it. Is this how it is suppose to be or should it open a new tab?

App Tabs behave the same way a normal tabs and are not protected against changes.
They only appear at the left side of the tab bar as only the favicon.
You nee to open links in a new tab if you want to avoid changes.
