There is a cursor anywhere I happen to click within the page. Will no longer go to top/bottom when "home/end" keys are used. Doesn't "page up/down" correctly.

You may be in Caret Browsing mode. Tap the F7 key to turn Caret Browsing on or off. You receive a warning screen when entering Caret Browsing mode, but not when exiting Caret Browsing mode.
