Firefox looses internetconnection every 5-10 min (whereas e.g. Skype does not), and the only way to fix it is to reset the network adapter (i.e. reset DNS and get new IP?)

So I right click on the network adapter icon and press "repair". After this I can browse websites again for 5-15 minutes. But then the story repeats itself. And All this can happen while I'm having a video-conversation on Skype, so the internet connection is OK.

  • Type in the address bar about:config.
  • Accept the warning.
  • In the page that appears, in the Filter box, type network.http.max-connections.
  • Change the value to 32 (which is probably set to 256 in your case).
  • Close the about:config page.
  • Restart the browser.
