Re: Firefox 8.01 says Adobe Acrobat - Create PDF 1.1 will be disabled, does this mean my Adobe Acrobat X Standard application will not work if I update the Firefox software, or does this apply to something else?

I am being prompted to install the Firefox 8.01 software update - when I click on install, the message window indicates that some of my add-ons, specifically Adobe Acrobat Create PDF 1.1 will be disabled. I have installed Adobe Acrobat X Standard application on my Laptop PC which includes Create PDF as part of the application. Will this Firefox installation render my Adobe Acrobat useless? If not, why is this note included in the installation notes to me? What does this mean and how does it apply to me?????

You have Adobe Reader 10.1.1 installed and it will work with Firefox 8. I do not know the status of Create PDF.

This may help you understand what Firefox 8 is doing differently than previous versions.

Yes, it will work with Firefox... like with any other Programs with Printing-Function. But if I create a website via PRINTING, Acrobat will NOT include any Links of the Website. Create a PDF in Internet Explorer with the AddOn (NOT via Printing), and the Links will WORK.

Sorry for my bad English, I'm german.
