Firefox crashes on some web sites because of Shockwave Flash plug-in
I have the latest Firefox running on updated Windows Vista SP2. Each time I go to my Google+ site, FF opens it and then crashes. I have located the problem for this crash to the Adobe Flash plug-in. When I disable the Shockwave Flash plug-in, crashes would stop. The Shockwave plug-in is updated to the latest version, and I even re-installed it, which didn't help. I have similar crashes on some other sites during searches. It becomes rather frequent and irritating. Please suggest some options how to deal with that.

The crashes have a [@ js_GetIndexFromBytecode ] signature and are caused by Trusteer Rapport (RapportTanzan9.dll).
Try to update to the latest Rapport version or ask advice on the Trusteer forum.

Thanks for reply. I do have the updated version of Trusteer Rapport. It is really interesting - I disable Shockwave Flash, and the crashes would stop. Then I would enable the Shockwave and stop the Rapport, the crashes would also stop. However, when they both are active - Firefox crashes all the time on Google+ web site. I do not have the same problem with Google Chrome and IE-9, only Firefox. I will try to ask Trusteer forums, but doubt that they would be able to offer something. It looks like Firefox specifically does not like something.
I have also frequent Firefox crashes on the web sites other than Google+. And they have different signature [Signature: js::mjit::EnterMethodJIT(JSContext*, js::StackFrame*, void*, JS::Value*, bool)]. It appears to be something other than Trusteer Rapport. I started having this frequent crashes after the latest FF upgrade. I have a feeling that it might be FF related rather than Trusteer Rapport. Any suggestions?
If you see a signature the contains "EnterMethodJIT" then try to disable the JIT compiler to see if that helps.
Try to disable the JIT compiler and set some jit prefs (Filter: jit) to false on the about:config to see if that helps.
You can try other Boolean JIT prefs as well if it still happens.
You may need to close and restart Firefox to see the effect of changes.

Setting JIT preferences to false on About:config didn't help. However, you were correct the first time. It appears that Trusteer Rapport does not play well with the new release of Firefox 9. Even when the signature of the crash contains "EnterMethodJIT", it was still related to Rapport. When I turn Rapport off, all crashes would stop. I have updated Rapport and re-installed it a couple of times without any benefits. The Trusteer support told me that "they are working hard to fix the issue for the next release". I hope it will be soon.
