upgrade of firefox 9 did not keep bookmarks and settings.

just as stated in question. upgrade to firefox 9 has lost all settings and bookmarks. Is there any way to retrieve them?

Possibly Firefox created a new profile with the update. If so, you should be able to find the old one.
