I recently downloaded Foxire and made it my default browser. I also have Internet Explorer. I imported my favorite bookmarks as instructed. Now I cannot find them. I went to the Foxire Bookmarks and under all bookmarks.. There is nothing there. Yet it does not allow me to import from another browser again. help.... Also I tried to run Internet Explorer in sandbox and Mozilla won't allow --- need help with that too...........

Hi MELG,

Have you looked at the Import Bookmarks and other data from Microsoft Edge Knowledge Base article? All of your IE bookmarks should be put into a folder called From Internet Explorer. Try hitting CTRL+SHIFT+B to see if they are there.

Hopefully this helps!

You can usually find the imported IE Favorites in a folder ("From Internet Explorer") at the bottom of the Bookmarks Menu folder (Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks).

If you can't find them in the folder ("From Internet Explorer") or otherwise have problems with importing the IE Favorites in Firefox then export the Favorites in IE to an HTML file and import that file in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager.
That way you also preserve any sorting that you may have done in IE with the Favorites.

  • Export the favorites in IE to an HTML file (bookmarks.html): File > Import and Export
  • Import the HTML file in Firefox: Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import HTML: From File

They are not in the Bookmark section at all. I looked for the file under the Mozilla file and there was nothing. I pressed CTRL+SHIFT+B and they weren't there either. Thanks I will keep working at it.

So, do you export the Favorites in IE to an HTML file like I suggested above?

See "Import from another browser" and "Import from file":
