This unusable. Mouse pauses, then jumps. Difficult to even fill out this form and click "buttons". Scrolling jerky, but I tend to think it's only tracking the mouse irregularity. Keyboard characters in text box seem slightly delayed.

Temporarily disabled Trend Micro, but this had no effect.

Try to disable hardware acceleration.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

I tried disabling hardware acceleration. No video driver updates available Also did the About: step to disable webgl

Still has a problem, but not on all sites. Mozilla.org is a problem, and of course facebook (isn't it for everyone ;). But "google.com" and associated searches are fine. My Credit Union and Pharmacy "accounts"/website have a little delay, but some sites content (like mozilla.org) render this unusable

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Erratic behavior still occurs in Safe Mode. Since this is a new install, there wasn't any changes to create a personal profile. It is the default.

I created a "troubledUser" profile, and restarted- samething bouncy erratic mouse and scrolling.

I thank you for your assistance, but my patience is thinning. I can't see why I am spending time to try and make this work.

Thinkin uninstall and abort is the answer.
