When I click on a PDF file I can't open it.

When I attempt to open a PDF file I receive a message "Adobe Acrobat/Reader can not be used to view PDF files in a web browser." I have Adobe Reader 9+ installed that presumably opens PDF files. Is there a way to work around this problem or must I purchase Adobe Acrobat? I noticed your assumptions about my computer. I do use Windows 7 and I assume I have the latest Mozilla Firefox version, but I don't know about any of the other assumptions.

Hi,

You can try PDF Viewer after disabling the Adobe PDF plugin in Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons > Plugins.

try to update Adobe PDF plugin to latest (10.1.4.38) and check it again

also you can try to Re-initializing the plugins database to see if this solve the problem

Thanks for your suggestions, but disabling the Adobe PDF plug in and downloading PDF viewer did not work. Still could not open a PDF file from a website. I tried the profile route, but the profiles I believe you meant did not appear.
