How do I get rid of the Firefox splash page when the program opens?
Since upgrading to version 17 I get a Firefox splash page that says I am not up to date. This page continues to appear even thought I have tried to change it via the option section. I can add or delete tabs on the home page setup but cannot get rid of the splash page. Please help.

Thanks for your reply. I want to have both Gmail and Google Calendar open when I start FIrefox but I get the result below.

ok, please try the steps described in Firefox says it's just updated every time it starts - how to fix (in case you've already tried to restore/customize the homepage option, please proceed to the section about How to fix preferences that won't save).
