I'm just guessing, but if you ever installed software for a Barnes & Noble Nook eReader, that may have been one of the features included in the package. I have no idea what it does.

Firefox finds most plugins by scanning the Windows registry. If you cannot uninstall the plugin through the Windows Control panel or the associated software, it might be simplest to keep it disabled.

If you really want to remove the file from your hard drive, there are some ways to locate it, but I'm not sure whether it's worth the effort. But check out: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-issues-with-plugins-fix-problems#w_manually-uninstalling-a-plugin
