Scriptish (addon) - Why doesn't sctips show?

more options

I've moved from Greasemonkey to Scriptish. And I followed the instructions to move the scripts from the GM folder to the Scriptish folder and deleted the Scriptish config file.

But Scriptish still shows no installed scripts. And I rebooted Firefox a few times.

Can someone figure out what the problem could be?

Also, it's crucial that you delete the scriptish-config.json (if it exists) in order to be recreated for the added scripts the next time you launch Firefox, otherwise the User Scripts list tab will appear empty.

Cor-el, thanks for your answer, but as I wrote, I have deleted the files and rebooted. Actually I tried it a few times. So that's why it is so strange.

Just out of curiosity, what feature of Scriptish is so much better than Greasemonkey that one would want to go through that manual conversion process?

I just read it is much better. Some security features and more control.

The process should be VERY easy. Just move your scripts from one folder to another and delete one file.

However for me that didn't work. And why? That's what I'm trying to figure out.

Copying between folders didn't sound so bad, it was the next step in the instructions of renaming all your script preferences in about config that sounded like a huge PITA...

Where did it say that?

The part I read was, 1) move files 2) erase config file. 3) THE END.

I was looking at this:

(Optional) Step Two: Copy/Transfer settings

Since several of my userscripts save data in Firefox preferences (settings, accumulated data), that's something I'm always concerned about.

I see. But that doesn't involve my question. I don't have any settings to care about.

Since no one seem to be able to help me, I guess I might have to go back to GM. Maybe I get the same problem transferring back the files. Sigh...

We can answer a lot of add-on related questions here, but certainly not all of them.
