I just downloaded Firefox onto my NEW Laptop and chose the desktop to store, but it has 100s of icons instead of just one? Do I have to remove them all? help ?
My New Laptop asked me to choose a web browser to install on my laptop, I chose Firefox because I had used it on my last laptop and trusted it. I followed the instruction prompts to install but now instead of there being just one icon on my desktop there are loads of them all over the screen, they cover it?
What is going on? If I don't get help with this today I will remove it from my laptop for good, I am too busy to be bothering with this. Thank you LH

hello, the desktop is usually not the right place to store the program files. you might want to uninstall firefox from the windows control panel in order to clean up your desktop & install it again. during the setup it's best to keep the installation directory at the default location (usually c:\program files\mozilla firefox) and only create a shortcut to the program.
When you do a Custom installation, you must create a folder for the program files to be installed in. Otherwise if you uninstall Firefox, every file in that folder may be deleted.
So keep that in mind when you fix your problem - you are liable to erase everything on your desktop if don't don't delete all those files yourself.
