href title info boxes keep expanding larger than text
After I restart Firefox, the href title attribute hover boxes go back to normal. Shortly afterward, they expand in size and cover a large chunk of the page whenever I hover over any link on the page with a title attribute. The box measures 5"x1" on my screen at 1920x1080 resolution, even if there's only a single word for the title.
This is in Firefox 23.0 on Linux Mint 15. Are any plugins known to cause this behavior?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
Thanks, I'll see if that does the trick. It's sort of an awkward troubleshooting step, though, as simply restarting Firefox does away with the problem, also. Sometimes it (the proper behavior) sticks for a few hours, other times for a few days. So, I won't know until I know otherwise if Safe Mode has worked.
After a week and a half, it looks like the culprit is some combination of Firebug (1.12.1) and Mint Search Enhancer (1.0). Mint Search Enhancer comes pre-installed on Linux Mint and has no apparent purpose that I can determine.
With all plugins disabled, the problem never resurfaced.
With Firebug disabled but Mint Search Enhancer enabled, the href title boxes eventually grew in width again, but not in height like before. After several more days with Mint Search Enhancer also disabled, they have remained normal size.
I haven't run another test yet with Firebug enabled and Mint Search Enhancer disabled, so it's still possible that it's entirely the latter's problem. No other changes were made during this time, so I don't think it was coincidental even though neither plugin seems like it ought to have any such effect.
