Using Firefox to access Yahoo Groups Problem: Yahoo mail has made changes and for several weeks, Yahoo requires answering the security question at each login, has a window with “You are logging in from a device we don't recognize” and Firefox does not retain the security image from session to session. Using same computer for years.

I had to switch to IE and there are no problems with it.

Have reset Firefox using Version 24.0 Content: Block Pop-up Windows is checked Privacy Settings: Radio button on for “Do not tell sites anything about my tracking preferences” Remember History (I have not deleted cookies)

Security settings: All boxes checked except Use a Master Password. Remember Passwords is also checked and there are no exceptions.

Hello,

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
  2. Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
  3. Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
  4. From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
  5. Now click the Clear now button.

Further information can be found in the Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox article.

Thanks for the comment. The security image appears to be saved by Firefox but I got a popup saying Yahoo is having a problem logging me in, suggested another browser. I logged in with no problems with IE. Thanks anyway, I'm going back to IE until a newer Firefox version.
