The whole procedure of Firefox creating a .part file while a file is downloading is not working for my purposes. How can this behavior be disabled?

hello, the only way i know around that is to use a third-party download manager - you could try the downthemall! extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/downthemall/
Note that you can use the FlashGot extension to integrate an external Download Manager in Firefox.
