BetterPrivacy not showing LSO to mark as safe

more options

Hi. I Installed BetterPrivacy & now I can't mark a particular site as safe, the site requires me to use a temporary password to prove it's me every time I go to login. I read up on how to fix this, but nothing shows in the LSO manager to mark "prevent deletion." I re-logged into the site, going through the password process for access, and then checked the LSO manager again, expecting to see the cookies so I could mark them as not to be deleted, but nothing was there. Help. Thanks.

I marked it as an exception in the Options menu,

If you clicked the Edit Protection List button and added the domain name there manually, then that should suffice.

If you clear all cookies in Firefox, then all Flash cookies are cleared as well. BetterPrivacy provides fine-grained control.

You may be interested in Adblock Plus with the EasyPrivacy subscription. If you don't use any form of social media, then you could also subscribe to Fanboy's Social Blocking list.

No, sorry. Support forums tend to focus on why things don't work properly ^_~ In case of additional problems, you could try clicking the Remove All LSOs button. This would remove the settings LSO, which might retain a preference to prevent certain sites from storing Flash cookies.

You're welcome.

Hello,

What's the link to the site?

Is the correct folder selected? Press the Search Directory button to have BetterPrivacy automatically detect it.

Is the display current? Click the Refresh Display button.

Can you see LSOs from other sites? For example, you should have one from s.ytimg.com when viewing a video on YouTube, e.g.

Thanks for your reply. The only thing that displays when I hit Search Directory or refresh is " <default LSO> settings.sol ." The odd thing is, now the site that I wanted access to is permitting me to login even after I close the browser and LSOs are cleared. I marked it as an exception in the Options menu, but I had previously done that, so I don't know what's going on...but I'm glad to have access.

I installed BetterPrivacy to thwart social media from being such secret tracking monsters...I hope that it works for that as it continues to allow me to login to the site I need access to that was requiring temp passwords. If you have any thoughts on any of this and/or how it fixed itself, please feel free to share-- and thanks again for your reply.
