A person's personal beliefs and political speech in this country are sacrosanct - for the very reason displayed in this case. If you can bully someone out of their job, years after the fact, then none of us are safe and freedom ceases to exist. Imagine if the tables were reversed and a gay person were outed and forced to resign - there would be screams to hang the perpetrators from the nearest tree and rightly so.
