I want to know why it always goes to ask.com when i type it in the adress bar when i try to search for something. I want to change it to google

You can use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.

Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).


You can open the about:config page via the location bar and search for prefs that refer to ask.com and reset user set (bold) ask.com prefs via the right-click context menu to the default value.
