why does https://Google.com open as https://www.google.ae/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=eJhJVMC-BuGS8QfEkIHABg&gws_rd=cr United Arab Emirates

more options

I have checked the setting in "Options" and Home page reads "https://Google.com"

yet, when I click on HOME, this link shows in the bar: https://www.google.ae/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=eJhJVMC-BuGS8QfEkIHABg&gws_rd=cr and it reads United Arab Emirates

I have used ADW cleaner, Malware Bytes and Super AntiSpyware all in safe mode...

It will disappear for a day or two...then, it's back again.

I have cleared cache and cookies to the beginning of time... I've disabled the 6 or 8 addons that I use and it makes no difference...

Please, please, please help me regain my browser.... this only happens in FF with google....

Google will check the IP address of your connection and redirect you to what it considered the best Google site for your location. This is a pain when you're traveling or if you are using a proxy.

To avoid the redirect, you can use this address (it sets a cookie so you are not redirected any more):

http://www.google.com/ncr

Does that work for you?

If you are not intentionally using a proxy, you should check your connection setting to make sure it hasn't been modified:

"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > Network mini-tab > "Settings" button

The default of "Use system proxy settings" should piggyback on your Windows/IE LAN setting. You also could try "No proxy" to see whether that works any better.
