hello Sharon_Knits, please go through the steps covered in Websites look wrong or appear differently than they should - they should contain the most common solutions for the issue you've described...

Most of that does not apply and the traditional menus for Firefox do not show at all. This is of no help and yes I have read through EVERYTHING and tried following the instructions shown, but it made zero difference. I think I may end up using a different default browser until this is fixed.

Can you attach a screenshot?

• Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
• Make sure that you do not exceed the maximum size of 1 MB

Did you check the default colors?

Also make sure that you allow pages to choose their own colors.

• Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors
  [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"

Check that you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the Windows/Mac Accessibility settings.

Note that these settings affect background images.

Finally got the tools section and it is ALREADY set to allow pages to choose their own colours. High Contrast themes have never been enabled and I just checked this and they are not enabled. Again FB is still going to weird colours and only in Firefox. No other webpage has displayed the same issues at all. The image I have chosen shows when it was doing both background of webpage and linked post colour changes. It stops briefly when the page is refreshed and then starts doing it again in a short span of time.
