Some web pages on Firefox are taking a long time to load up

the last month or so some pages take ages to load up in Firefox to the point where its annoying and unusable.
I try the sma epages on safari and they load fine

Maybe, just maybe, your firefox is on some proxy. Disable it if so?
still sluggish on pages
