Some pages never render properly - all text: eg Amazon, some new others are fine
Win 7.1, FF 36.0 (just updated) All add-ons & javascript up to date.
A few weeks ago this problem began: I am not aware of any configuration changes or new software installation at that time. This problem began while the previous ver. of FF was installed, and continues with 36.0
It seems very consistent with the site: always on Amazon, for example - all I see is text - some of it links. Internal Amazon links lead to one after another text-only page. The page structure is recognizable. I have to use IE to do business there.
Adobe Flash Player Shockwave Flash 16.0.0.296 (stated by Mozilla to bee vulnerable (16.0 r0) won't update: message Flash Player Plugin between 11.0 and 11.7.700.169) blocked (Not 16+ !). Is there an alternative?
Control Panel > uninstall Programs indicates that Flash Player ActiveX and NPAPI & Shockwave player are present somewhere: don't know why. I often can't play video in news media - no indication why with R-click - ideas?
I watch NoScript (which I have had for years) carefully. I also have Trueblock+ installed (it does a good job).
I know there is a FF refresh function, but am loth to have everything set back to defaults, unless there is no other solution.
Any insights or fixes will be gratefully considered. Thanks!

Ah, that header did not come out right: it should be: e.g. Amazon, some newspapers; others come out just fine.
There is no predicting what site will not render right, except the same sites are consistent. Sorry.
New info: By coincidence, this message just now popped up on my screen:
Windows has blocked some features of Firefox, and points to Firefox.exe (It does not say WHAT features). FF seems to be working as before - but I have not had time to use any special functions.
Never seen it before and don't know what triggered it. But maybe it explains some of the issues I mentioned, if the firewall blocked a Firefox earlier. I have overridden the warning not to use Adobe flash player on occasion, last before installing FF 36.0
I don' know how to mess with Windows firewall settings - I have never customized it, and so I am reluctant to click on the Allow button, in case I need to reverse things. Better to ask first.
