Problem with Cookies and Login to Outlook email - Blank screen
MSN Outlook (and Hotmail) login page will no longer let me in. Shows a blank screen. I believe it has to do with cookie settings but I can't figure it out. I can login on my computer with Win Explorer (yuck), and on my Android with Chrome so it's not them. Only blocked on Firefox. I went to cookie settings and changed temporarily to Accept-Allow - Always- Until expire and rebooted but it still won't work, even after restart Firefox and reboot. Also tried reinstalling previous version of Firefox to no effect. I have been using privacy settings Private Browsing-Accept cookies from visited - Until close Firefox for a few years and always accessed the Outlook/Hotmail login with no problems until yesterday. Can you give me any help with this please.

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
If clearing cookies didn't help then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies got corrupted.
- Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookies files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
cor-el,
I followed all steps: clear cache; create an 'Allow' exception; eliminate sqlite; allow cookies always and 3rd party. I opened all privacy settings to most liberal including those cookies changes. Still can't get Hotmail login page to open. As I indicated, this is only with Firefox, seemingly no matter what the settings. Again, this only began two days ago. I had used the settings: custom history - private browsing - accept cookies - 3d party from visited - keep until close Firefox. Never had this problem before. *** Also, I use BetterPrivacy with LSO Manager. Could that be a problem. Have long used it as well.
I thank you for the suggestions, so far has not worked though I've tried to follow all suggestions including at links. Please advise me what to try now.
You have a LOT of add-ons, so chances are that one of them is causing the problem. Try starting Firefox in Safe Mode then visiting Hotmail. If Hotmail works, we'll start eliminating add-ons.

If it's an add-on, I'm leaning towards Blur and BetterPrivacy as being the cause of the problem. We'll see, though.
Does it work in normal mode (i.e. non Private Browsing mode)?
Do you see any errors in the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer)?
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that helps.
Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

The kewpie doll goes to just-a-user. Thank you very much. All the other steps were following the wrong paths. I started in safe mode and got the Outlook login page. Went back to my full Firefox setup and disabled ad-ons one at a time. The culprit which I didn't even add on directly was Okay Freedom. As I learned after determining this was the problem, it adds on its add-on without invitation when installed. I disabled the add-on while leaving the installation. It works fine and so does Firefox. Seems to be problem solved for the present. Thanks to all for brainstorming and advice. Hope this will help others. Regards.
