Can I customize Firefox keyboard shortcuts?
Is it possible to somehow customize keyboard and mouse shortcuts for Firefox on Linux? Or is this only obtainable through editing the source?

What keyboard shortcuts are you thinking about?
You can look at this extension:
- Customizable Shortcuts: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/customizable-shortcuts/
- Keyconfig: http://mozilla.dorando.at/readme.html
Thank you, I had a look at the first one, but it doesn't allow to create new bindings. The second one seems to hold more promise, but it hasn't been updated since 2011, so I'm unsure if it will work with FF37.
First off, I had really hoped to be able to set keyboard shortcuts for some of my bookmarks to local pages that I often use - web interfaces to services running on my own machines etc. I can get quick access to them by enabling the bookmarks toolbar and putting them there, but that takes up screen space, and I have to take my hands off the keyboard.
I had just hoped that maybe the bindings were defined in a config file somewhere that I could just edit and add to, but these two extensions will have to do :)
Thanks again!
Maybe look at the PrefBar extension.
