I'm NOT happy.

I had downloaded a lot of files, and had loads of entries in the Downloads page, so decided to clear the list. A common thing people do I would think?

Well, imagine my surprise when I went to open a file and found I had NO FILES AT ALL!

Many GB's of data, gone.

There was no pop-up to state clearing downloads would delete files, no warning, nothing.

WTF?

The alternative was deemed worse. Having files left behind on their phone will cause the downloads folder to grow, eventually using up all the filesystem. Android goes to great lengths to hide the file system from the user. If the decision was reversed users on stock Android would need to install a file/folder viewer to reclaim space.
