When I'm browsing e.g. a gallery on Facebook or similar pages - scrolling swipes the gallery to the next photo instead of scrolling the page. On Soundcloud it changes the time on the player. How do I fix this?

You may have switched on caret browsing.

You can toggle caret browsing on/off by pressing F7 (Mac: fn + F7).

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Accessibility: [ ] "Always use the cursor keys to navigate within pages"

Note that this is an accessibility feature of Firefox.

I can scroll with my arrow keys. I've tried changing the caret browsing settings, but this "problem" is still happening. It's quite annoying for me, as I'm using touchpad and I am used to scroll with two fingers instead of using the scroll bar. How do I return to the previous settings?
