I am being pushed updates for firefox that "fixes" problems that I do not have and offers new "security" update and new "features" I do not need. Real simple, I need a secure, stable platform.

Hi Rob_Dude, I would recommend updating because of the security fixes alone. However you can control the updates as well.

thank you for your reply. That was my assumption, just update the dang program, but I was wondering why all the updates? Shouldn't I be able to evaluate the fixes?. I think I've seen code that causes more problems than it solves in a complex and unique system ( my desktop computer, lol). More importantly the time to learn new systems is increasing. I would prefer a simpler more stable platform to operate and access the internet. Security is of prime importance and I don't like seeing it used to promote new whistles. No matter how shiny. thanks again

How do you "control" the updates?
