is there a way to customize privacy and security settings to be in both full privacy but with the exception of wanting to save passwords?

I enjoy the freedom of permanent privacy mode with one exception: When I need to save a password I have to stop everything, uncheck private mode in options, re-start Firefox, check save passwords in options, and navigate beck to the page I wanted to save the password for in the first place. Then undo all of the above in reverse to go back into private browsing mode. I would like to see one of two solutions: 1) allow "Save Passwords" to be checked while in private mode or 2) have a way to add password info and address directly into the password manager file. Can this be accomplished in some currently available solution?

You can use this extension to get Private Browsing mode support per tab.

  • Private Browsing mode tabs get a dashed underline
  • You can toggle Private Browsing mode on/off via the right-click context menu of a tab
