How to turn link back on after firefox suddenly switched it off?
Hey firefox,
I'm using the webmail of my work at my home computer. Now, I'm a chemist, so I receive newsletters with newly appeared articles in it. These I normally click on and then it shows the article. Suddenly things have changed, cause it doesn't show the article any more, Instead, it gives the message: "Deze link is voor uw veiligheid uitgeschakeld" (this link is switched off for security reasons). I really don't see any harm in this link, so how can I switch it on again, so that I get to see the link?

I have not seen this in Firefox before. Please can you upload a screenshot? please see How do I create a screenshot of my problem?
Once you've done this, attach the saved screenshot file to your forum post by clicking the Browse... button below the Post your reply box. This will help us to visualize the problem.
If not, and this helps see if its an add on by starting Firefox in Safe Mode and see if it gives you the same issue:
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily turns off hardware acceleration, resets some settings, and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:
- Click the menu button , click Help and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
- On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
- On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
- On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode
(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme, or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps in the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.
To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.
What security (anti-virus) software do you have?
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that has effect.
