HTML5 player refuses to produce sound through my speakers despite working with headphones.
Before I get the usual troubleshooting options yes I have tried restarting Firefox and my computer, I have been trying to solve this issue for months but it hadn't become too important while flash player was working. Now recently flash has stopped playing some adds before videos and this prevents the video itself from playing as well. The media.volume_scale in about:config does not affect the sound being output by my speakers and neither does the disable all sound effects check box in my speakers settings. In order to hear HTML5 content playing through my speakers I have to max out my volume and even then normally loud things are incredibly quiet to the point of whispers. This problem as stated above does not affect my headphones for some reason. This problem is unique to Firefox as Google Chrome and Internet Explorer play HTML5 fine through my speakers. I sorely do not want to switch to Chrome as my main browser as I prefer Firefox's interface but if I cannot find a solution to this problem I might have to out of sheer annoyance.

Second, if you right click on the player and take a screenshot of "Stats for Nerds" can you upload this?
Alright so lo and behold this issue had not stopped and I was going to shutdown my computer after checking my emails when I notice a reply to my trouble in my inbox. Of course I immediately bring up a video to get the requested stats for nerds but to my surprise the sound is working when it was not doing so less then 2 hours ago, a quick check on various other sites confirms this. I will not mark this problem as solved until I am convinced this is not a fluke but thank you for replying to my post and here are the requested stats for nerds. Hopefully this will be the end of the headache.

I think that this is a codec supported by the HTML5 player, so I am inclined to ask about if the sound works in another audio source. (not just the speakers, like headphones)
I know that it relies on the Windows decoding libraries. It looks like it is supported but there are limitations to the formats
It should be fine, but make sure the extension is listed to make sure its not a codec issue.
The headaches continue. As stated in the initial post audio works fine when I have headphones in on all platforms, the *ONLY* problem is that when I switch over to speakers HTML5 audio (not flash or anything else) is muted to the point where if I max out my computer's and Firefox's audio settings Pewdiepie videos are barely audible whispers. Last night apparently was a fluke because despite not changing any settings or power cycling my computer Firefox once again has this issue. Your other questions are confusing to me. I was under the impression that the Cisco codec downloads automatically onto Firefox and was surprised to not be able to find it in my extensions list despite you claiming it as an extension. As for the codec extension shown in my stats for nerds popup, avc1 is listed as an H.264 bitstream without start codes. I'm not sure if that is what's causing it but at this point I'm up for any suggestions.
