After a Firefox crash, my "Restore Session" page disappeared in the midst of loading. Is there a way to recover it?

Hello ~

First, I want to say thank you ahead for being there. I am in a little bit of a panic, so I am so grateful that I can post and ask for help. Thank you, so very much.

I am having problems with my "Restore Session" page, and what has happened is a little bit hard to explain, but I'll do my best, and if anything seems unclear, please feel free to ask for clarification.

I had a lot of important tabs open, and then Firefox crashed. When I brought Firefox back up, it asked if I wanted to restore the session. At that moment, I felt worried that it had crashed, and was afraid to open all of the tabs in case it crashed again, so I simply left the "Restore Session" page open in that tab, (to open at a later time), and then opened a second tab to quickly check something else online that I needed to do at that moment. I left the browser that way for a little while, and then opened a few more tabs (all in the same window) to do more things that I needed to take care of. During that time (after the crash, and while I had not yet restored the session) I visited hundreds of pages, as I had a lot of research I needed to continue to work on. Unfortunately, Firefox then crashed again. This time it didn't ask me to restore the session, but just opened the window up on its own. I was able to watch as it was recovering from the crash, and I actually saw the "Restore Session" tab load, and I saw that its contents were all there and ready to be restored. But then virtually as soon as the page loaded, the contents then disappeared and the page became blank. As I was watching, the tab name went from "Session Restore" to "New Tab", and the contents went from "Restore Session", with everything listed within it, to blank.

Just some sidenotes: All of the other tabs in the window remained fine, so I am sure it's just an issue with the Restore Session page. The page is not "reloadable", and there is no active "back" button available, so those don't seem to be an option. The window also does not show in the "Recently Closed Windows", I assume because Firefox re-opened the whole window for me, which worked fine, with the exception of the "Restore Session" tab.

I am panicked, because all of the tabs were critical tabs that were still up BECAUSE they were so critical. I had narrowed down months of daily, long-hours research to these 100-or-so critical tabs, and was on the cusp of organizing them when it crashed. I am too scared to even think about the thought of losing all of that information, and so want to do everything I can to try to "restore" the Restore Session.

Might anyone have any suggestions or ideas about how to proceed with trying to recover the "Restore Session" page, or the information contained within it? Are there different things I might be able to try?

I am still a "newbie" when it comes to all things computers, but I am willing to follow any directions that you might share in order to see if anything can be rescued.

Thank you oh so very much for your time, and for sharing your knowledge, as I am so very, very grateful. It really means more to me than I can say.

With such gratitude,

~ Karen
