Hi Doug, You were right to be suspicious.
Looking at your screenshot It is a scam, and is not from Windows. The long address may start with the words windows.microsoft, but that is just to add credibility to the scam.
Note Our Mozilla Firefox site the address starts support.mozilla.org if it was windows.microsoft.support.org that may lead people to think it was an official Windows site
As long as you have not been falling for the scams and clicking things, or downloading bundled software you are probably ok. If you wish to play safe and check it may be a good idea to use the general advice in this article:
Doing multiple scans with different tools picks up most things. Using a single tool or method will not catch everything.
P.S. Screenshot shows address as windows.microsoft.com-secured.online....

Many thanks for prompt and most helpful reply John.
I'm very careful with what I click upon and have never downloaded bundled software off the net and so was surprised when this popped up.
Again many thanks-Doug.
