Change web page permissions for location

more options

I have just wasted several hours trying to figure out how to change the location setting for a web page or site. All information is old. No page info on menu any more. No about: permissions any more. How do I turn location back on for a page I accidentally turned it off on? All of my queries keep coming up with dated or irrelevant info.

I found a place that seems designed to solve this problem, but actually, it didn't work for me.

With the page loaded, tap the icon at the left end of the address bar (globe, padlock or other icon) and a panel should appear with a link to Edit Site Settings. Tap that link, and you should be able to clear site-specific permissions by tapping the checkbox next to the permission you want to remove and then tapping Clear. (Screen shot sequence attached.)

But... mine doesn't actually clear on the site I used for testing. ???

Maybe it's a version 50 thing? Mine just updated overnight, apparently.
