Adobe Flash Keeps Crashing
I can't use Adobe Flash Player in FireFox for some reason. I can watch HTML Youtube videos no problem and Flash works fine in Chrome but doesn't work at all in Firefox. I tried disabling and re enabling protected mode with no luck, I can't access the option to disable Hardware acceleration and I can't update my graphics drivers which are all the main solutions I've found.
I'm on a Surface Pro 2 with Windows 10

HTML5 and flash are separate players.
Why can't you do what you said above? What happens?

I know they are different. I meant that HTML works fine in Firefox but Flash doesn't. Flash works fine in Chrome and everything else, just not Firefox.
Basically Flash just crashes when it tries to load a video. The rest of the page loads fine but when the video goes to load Firefox says Adobe Flash Player has crashed and I can't load the video. I also can't get to the Hardware Acceleration option from right clicking the Flash window. I can if I'm in Chrome but I don't know if turning it on and off in Chrome affects Firefox at all. It doesn't seem like it does after trying it.
It also just started recently as I used to have no problems like this. Just started maybe last week. It only happens on my Surface Pro 2 with Windows 10 as I also have a Desktop at home with Windows 7 and I don't have this problem on it. I can't update the graphics drivers on the Surface Pro 2 so that's a no go.
I've tried all the solutions I could find with no luck yet.
Is this what you tried?
Some problems with Flash video playback can be resolved by disabling hardware acceleration in your Flash Player settings. (See this article for more information on using the Flash plugin in Firefox).
To disable hardware acceleration in Flash Player:
- Go to this Adobe Flash Player Help page.
- Right-click on the Flash Player logo on that page.
- Click on Settings in the context menu. The Adobe Flash Player Settings screen will open.
- Click on the icon at the bottom-left of the Adobe Flash Player Settings window to open the Display panel.
The image "fpSettings1.PNG" does not exist.
- Remove the check mark from Enable hardware acceleration.
- Click Close to close the Adobe Flash Player Settings Window.
- Restart Firefox.
This Flash Player Help - Display Settings page has more information on Flash Player hardware acceleration, if you're interested.
