I want to set up a single-page website on a new domain I have purchased. The purpose is to introduce myself and the sort of paintings I produce. The gallery is hosted by the Society for All Artists (saa.co.uk). I have downloaded the address string by bookmarking the page. To test that the link works, I have copied it into Firefox search bar. It reports that the document doesn't exist. Type the same address string into Google or Edge search bar and the gallery is found instantly. Why can't Firefox find it? How can I ensure that any browser or search engine can find the gallery by using the link http://community.saa.co.uk/gallery/all-artworks-by-don-anderson_24032601.html?oscsid=anoe4g9al91dra14u4rkj4i5u7

link and the web page works.

The search box? You need to use the address box.

Thanks Fred. I always search for things in the Search box - it seems the logical thing to do. But I put it into the address box and it immediately came up. If I put that address string into my web page as a hyperlink, will it go into the correct address box of whichever browser/search engine the viewer happens to be using? If so, I'm flying high. Did you like the paintings?

Did you like the paintings?

They looked nice, but I was checking the links out.

As to the rest, I called for more help. Note: A shortcut created on one browser may not work on another.

It certainly should!

Thanks. I'll give it a try and see what happens. The link will be the whole address string, so it shouldn't rank as a shortcut.

Note you should be able to use a shortened version of that as a link

Especially of it is a link you may be giving out to other people to use.
